These terms apply to your use of the Umeed Ek Kiran website at www.umeedekkiran.in and donations made through it. Umeed Ek Kiran works in animal rescue, treatment, feeding and rehabilitation in Kanpur, India.

02. Making a donation
Donations on this page are voluntary, one-time contributions in Indian rupees, with a minimum amount of ₹50. No recurring payment is authorised through a one-time donation.
You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to use the payment method. Check your amount and provide accurate contact details before confirming payment. A donation is support for our work, not a purchase of goods or services.
03. How contributions are used
Contributions support rescue, veterinary treatment, medicines, feeding, rehabilitation and the costs of delivering that care. Unless a specific written restriction is expressly accepted by us, funds may be directed to animals and activities according to current needs.
Images and stories illustrate our work. They do not guarantee a particular treatment outcome or that every contribution will be spent only on the animal pictured.
04. Payments and confirmation
Where online checkout is available, payment is handled through Razorpay and the relevant banks or payment networks. Direct QR donations are handled by your UPI app and participating payment providers.
A successful transaction in the payment provider’s records is needed to confirm payment. Opening a thank-you page alone is not proof of payment. Keep your payment reference and contact us if your payment status is unclear.
05. Refunds and payment errors
Completed voluntary donations are generally final and non-refundable. If you notice a duplicate debit, an unauthorised payment or an incorrect amount, contact us promptly with the date, amount and transaction reference so we can investigate with the payment provider.
Any reversal or refund depends on the verified circumstances and applicable requirements. These terms do not exclude any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Do not send payment passwords, PINs or OTPs to us.
06. Acknowledgements and tax benefits
Contact us if you need help obtaining a donation acknowledgement. A bank confirmation or acknowledgement is not automatically a tax-exemption certificate. No tax deduction or 80G eligibility is promised on this website; confirm any applicable eligibility and documentation with our team before relying on a tax benefit.
07. Responsible website use
Use the website lawfully. Do not impersonate others, submit misleading information, introduce harmful code, interfere with security or attempt unauthorised access. Our branding, photographs and written content belong to us or their respective owners; ask before using them beyond what the law permits.
External services have their own terms. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted website availability or control third-party payment networks. Nothing here limits responsibility that cannot legally be limited.
08. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new date. Changes apply prospectively and do not remove rights relating to earlier donations. These terms are governed by applicable Indian law, with disputes handled by courts or other authorities having lawful jurisdiction.
